UX Design Awards 2019

50 Nominees Selected for the International Competition for Outstanding User Experience

The result of the nominations for the UX Design Awards 2019 has been determined: a jury of seven experts selected around 50 products and concepts from more than 20 countries to participate in the international competition.

The nominated solutions support people in areas such as health and care, mobility in everyday life and the world of work, communication, agriculture and industry.

How will augmented reality revolutionize clinical surgery in the near future? How can artificial intelligence make self-determined living possible for people into old age and relieve the strain on nursing staff? How can a combination of machine learning, language and image recognition transform translations into an interactive game and digital communication into an audiovisual experience, and how can it support farmers in the analysis of plants and soils? How can assistance systems ensure the safe control of ships, construction machinery and vehicles? Can service design turn a court case into a convenient and understandable service? These and other questions are addressed in the submissions nominated for the #UXDA19.

With the awards, the International Design Centre Berlin (IDZ) honors innovative solutions that increase the added value of applications, technologies and services through positive experiences – and thus contribute to the responsible design of a future-oriented living environment. As in previous years, the number of nominees was deliberately limited to 50 in order to meet the high standards of the competition.

All nominated solutions will be presented to the public and experts from 6 to 11 September 2019 in an exhibition at the global technology trade fair IFA in Berlin.
